City of Hope's Center for Informatics supports diverse and computationally intensive needs in data retrieval, curation, integration, annotation, automation, dissemination, visualization, and training. Our goal is to foster research collaborations with data scientists to promote translational research in biomarker discovery and novel targeted therapy development. We partner with multidisciplinary principal investigators, diverse disease teams, clinicians, postdocs, students, vendors, and core facilities. Our team establishes shared high-performance parallel computational resource and modern cyber-infrastructure with ITS by integrating pipelines and developing methodologies for user consultation and training.
Our Translational Bioinformatics Division has been actively involved in NCI, NIH, NSF, NIDDK, and DOE joint grant applications and has been awarded NCI-designated CCSG core since 1997 and received the highest “exceptional merit” score in both 2012 and 2017 NCI grant renewal periods.
