LabVantage is City of Hope's Research - Virtual Biospecimen Management System (VBMS). A leader in the field, LabVantage focuses on end-to-end specimen tracking and inventory, allowing for the recording each individual research specimen aliquot throughout the processing workflow, biospecimen annotation, study management, as well as inventory and kit management. LabVantage's highly configurable cloud-based platform allows for a wide variety of specialties and workflows to be programmed fulfilling researcher's specific needs.
Additional to our biobanking instance the VBMS team is implementing phase I of a biopharma instance to accommodate GXP requirements for Biomanufacturing.
We have implemented 8 laboratories (COH Biorepository, Heme Tissue Biorepository, Dr. Gruber Lab, Dr. Bild's - Viable Cell Lab, Clinical Trials Office, Cutaneous Lymphoma Lab of Dr. Christiane Querfeld, the Legacy Project and Dr. Armenian's Lab) We provide on-going and ever-growing support to our existing end-users, onboard new laboratories, as well as provide platform enhancements to meet current and future needs. In addition to onboarding additional laboratories, in FY22, we will finalize implementation of the Biopharma instance of LabVantage for the Dr.Caligiuri/Yu Lab and interfacing LabVantage biobanking with Epic Beaker to allow for end-to-end tracking of all research samples.
